A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a spelling error. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited email messages, but this issue can be resolved by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also vital to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s exceptionally user-friendly, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just a mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the very same manner you will be able to disable the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will notify you in case you’re trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a particular domain name or if there’s active email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically and without your permission.
